Synopsis: Don Caravaggio's "Hielo Caliente" begins on a somewhat mysterious note. We see a shadow on a wall of a woman hard at work in a dimly lit room. Only after the camera pulls back do we see that it's Metart's exclusive supermodel Lorena B, and that she's chipping away at chunks of ice. After placing the chips in a metal bowl she joins blonde Brandy A on a low sofa and the seduction "Hielo Caliente" beings. The pace here is deliberately measured — Lorena takes her sweet time teasing Brandy, rubbing and caressing her skin with pieces of rapidly melting ice — and any tiny bit of resistance Brandy may have felt towards Lorena's sexual aggression melts every bit as rapidly. But, just as ice turns into water, the sexual temperature of this lesbian liaison transitions from casual to carnal quickly. While the introduction may be leisurely, once the action has reached a full boil it is particularly vigorous, energetic, ravenous, and uninhibited. The ice is a clever and seductive device, but the raw lesbian heat so artfully and explicitly captured here is the heart and soul of this Sexart feature.

I just watched this again and found it SUPER HOT. Lorena appears so natural and 100% giving in all of her films she's incredible. The heavy breathing throughout was intense and erotic..the clit licking fantastic. Both women kept their mouth on the slit for the duration of the orgasm and after as we all like that. Tremendous.

This film was good but could have been great. Brandy and Lorena are a great match. Two very beautiful women together making love. It took Lorena a long time to cum despite Brandy demonstrating some fine oral skills. Then suddenly it cut to Brandy having an orgasm with no build up. This was very odd indeed. Later Lorena licked Brandy to orgasm and we saw the whole lot. I think the editing is strange. If you just let the lovers go it should flow naturally. A lovely scene.

Brandy (whom I know as Brandy Smile) is an excellent choice to pair with Lorena, as she is lovely and performs well. I know Brandy's work from other companies, and she is a solid performer in g/g scenes. I like to see the feet go from covered to uncovered -- it's sexy to see legs and feet gradually revealed. (After removing Lorena's fishnets, it might have spiced things up a bit if Brandy had given Lorena a little toe-sucking action.) The music is distracting, and I would have liked to see it end long before the 6:00 mark. The best aspect of a good g/g scene is seeing alot of body-to-body contact, limbs intertwined, a little rolling around and a variety of positions. Unless a bed or rug is used, this variety cannot be achieved. So, here we see standing (visually uninteresting to me) and Brandy kneeling on the floor, etc. It would have been nice to see these two on a bed.

Shadrack, have you seen any of Brandy's scenes on our sister site Viv Thomas? She stars in "Prim and Improper" (with Blue Angel, Sandra Shine, Jo and Vera) which I consider to be one of Viv's all-time classics :-)
Shadrack 2 years ago
Rose, I see that "Prim and Improper" has also been released as a feature on DVD. I haven't yet gotten around to checking out the Viv Thomas site, but I will probably buy this DVD because the cast looks wonderful -- a classic indeed. When you mention the names of Sandra Shine, Jo and Vera you are speaking my language :-) Those three performers were pillars of the classic Viv Thomas videos of the mid 2000s. I own those videos and they never get old. It's great to know that Brandy, who entered the biz later, had a chance to be cast with those great performers. Thank you for that recommendation! In the near future I plan to check out the Viv Thomas site.
Rose 2 years ago
I hope you enjoy it, Shadrack – both the classic Viv movies, and the new ones from Alis Locanta... and we have Sandra Shine shooting movies for us too! She's always been a favorite of mine, and she's every bit as amazing a director as she was a model. But actually, it's Blue Angel who steals the show in "Prim and Improper," she proves herself to be a great actress as well as a very hot performer :-)

Hello to the member reading,
I am pleased to give my personal opinion for the ones interested.
Maybe you will agree or not, understand better the concerning issues or not...
In any case, thank you all for your constructive comments.
Don Caravaggio, the rest of the team and I, started from knowledge 0 directing,
rolling and editing GG movies 7 months ago. All of those, made in a time of 9 days
made in 2 different trips. (Those are released 1 per month).
9 Days to explore, to learn, and enjoy them.
Now a days we are more conscious about the troubles you find in each
movie, we share many of your opinions.
In the first 2 trips (all our works released and to be released), the main attention was to find
the connection with the women's in the sexual scenes more than being aware to judge
in a more conscious way all the technical and direction aspects.
(Without mention all the editing. We did not roll thinking of it specifically as we do now).
I am sorry to read some of you find the light, decoration, clothes, back ground story
not your taste or the way you expect them to be. At the same time, it also helps
to consider more than twice what you would like after reading you. Yes, we did like it.
My point of view to this:
Sometimes, there is no back ground story to make love or have sex with
the person you wish (your couple for example). I can understand this is a movie and you
might expect an introduction before any sexual scene. This, had only a simple introduction.
To the questions:
Why the candles? why the clothes? why are they together?
I believe a person loves or likes a scene when the questions, why?
(during a sexual interaction) does not appear in mind.
If it does, maybe you simply continue to enjoy without making it
the main point to be understood to finally like it.
Or maybe was that in general was simply not your type of movie.
Questions are very welcome for the nonsense aspects. At the same time,
there is apparently much non sense in real life (or not considered).
The same for big screen movies or porn movies.
Some persons expect to see a believable screen movie introduction to have a reasons to
involve the sex scene.
I believe part of the big magic is to show and believe that the 2 women
(without knowing each other) or the couple you see, are enjoying really themselves,
leaving to a side the simple factor: porn entertainers.
Don Caravaggio, the team, consider this aspect very much while we women's work together.
Not necessary to make you believe this is a real movie but share with you what we feel
to enjoy while creating it.
Answering the questions, why?:
Imagine yourself, in your house (this movie, was made in a house
a little particular, but a house). Your girlfriend is sitting in the sofa
and you only feel the need to make love to her. Maybe it comes to your mind
to play with food, or ice. You put on something that you think she might like
(I putted on stockings). Breaking the ice in your table for her to laugh, or to show
her what you try to do with her. Candles where there before she came.
During the day does not make sense, maybe from getting to romantic
distracted to consider things better (has happened in the movie).
Candles will not make a better sex interaction nor the reason
why we put them there. If they distract from the scene, maybe the sex
was not really intense enough to be liked for the viewer.
Don Caravaggio filmed with natural light. Some might like it,
others will not and maybe this happen with every movie release.
Persons that film with the type of light that they find better.
The editing, in my opinion is not the main problem although I agree It can
be always so much better.
To talk about it, maybe you have to see first the material we have and
how we manage to work with it.
The direction, in my point of view is the part to work much harder if any further
movies will be realize in the future. It will give all the facilities for the editing
that we did not have. We all direct in the team, including other women's involve
to make a natural interaction between us. There are no instructions that say when to
have an orgasm, when to change positions, etc.
This 2 aspects will be more in mind now: stay as natural while technical.
Today, we continue editing the last movies from our first experiences.
Our intention is to see and try to understand what could make it better for a
possible next collaboration.
Thank you for understanding that I talk from the amateur point of view as an editor,
trying to keep making it better.
I want to finish by wishing you all a beautiful time in this dates.
Feliz Navidad for the ones who celebrate it, and my best for you in the new arriving year.
Un beso,
Lorena

Dear Lorena
Thank you for taking the time to reply to the many questions raised about this film, and it is very helpful to be reminded that everyone is always experiencing and learning. Because the films come out in a steady progression, it is tempting to think of them as part of a long process, when in fact you make the point that in many cases they are shot in a short period, without much time for reflexion between them.
The relationship between yourself and Brandy was excellent, and the lack of a clear narrative introduction made us invent our own contexts and background, and I have often said that this should not be seen necessarily as a problem. Some of us come from professional backgrounds and are inclined to be a bit picky about details of the set and the shooting: in the end, each film is a journey, and we love and respect the energy and imagination that you put into it. For me, SexArt is a continuing journey, and it is wonderful that you as a performer have made the commitment to develop the other crafts in the filmmaking. I think a general comment has been that we have missed you over the last two months or so !
Your comments have reminded us that filmmaking is always an experiment, and I don't think in any way this film failed.
Abelard 4 years ago
Thank you Lorena for sharing some very thoughtful comments.
Overall in these movies, Don Caravaggio, the others (I see what you say about everyone's involvement), and you have succeeded in portraying realistic and enjoyable sexual encounters, with all the impression of real engagement between the women: the kind of sexual experiences I would be pleased for anyone to have!
Sure, some movies have worked better in some respects than others, and the direction can as you say always be worked on to improve, etc etc. But to portray sex the way you have is quite an artistic achievement. For me, these are the most positive and affirmative erotic movies I've seen. So a big 'thank you', especially to you and to Don Caravaggio!
ToEachTheirOwn_ 4 years ago
Lorena, the only thing I somewhat disliked were the unexpected cuts, other than that everything worked perfectly here, for me at least.
There will always be people disliking something or other, but at least I think this was really great. And as you can see, even though there are some negative comments, the average rating now is above 9. It would be even more, probably, as I've seen low average score (around 6) when the download was broken, so some people must have rated this without actually seeing any of it.
Thank you for everything you've done here and please don't ever stop. Happy holidays and an even better 2014! :-)

Lorena, I have seen your short films and the work you do on MetArt and SexArt as well as on FJ, and as far as I'm concerned, you can do no wrong. You are a gorgeous young woman, and you could be dressed in an overcoat and you'd still look good. Maybe it's your winning smile!

Thanks for taking the time to provide the background on the making of your movies with Don. Given the inexperience and the timeline you describe they have all turned out pretty well. I don't agree with most of the complaints discussed here. I think this movie is great and the chemistry between you and Brandy is quite good.

There's a lot to love here; The erotic nod to Basic Instinct in the opening with the ice pick, the extensive and extremely erotic foreplay with the ice, Lorena's sexy fishnets that really highlight her perfect legs and ass, and the sex itself is as hot as any I've ever seen in a G/G scene. I especially love everything towards the end with Brandy fingering and licking Lorena, then Lorena up against the wall with, as horsemaster said, her hips (and ass!) at just the right angle for the camera so we can see what Brandy is doing; finally, Lorena finishing Brandy off is just as hot! Both performers are also superb here, with Brandy matching Lorena's intensity and involvement, even with Lorena taking the lead. About the only complaint here is the one harry made about not knowing anything about the relationship.
Given all the above, it pains me to have to equally admit that this is another very flawed Lorena/Don C. film from a technical perspective. The setting is completely bland, and the lighting is just bizarre--candles in a window when the light from the window is blown out? Shafts of blown out highlights on the performers? A dark red couch against that light and those performers skin tones? It all seems so random. The biggest offender again, though, is the editing and the jump cuts. I was completely into this film for the first 15 minutes, luxuriating in the sensual, measured pacing, and while there were a few disruptive jump cuts, nothing major... then, suddenly, at about 15:30 when Lorena has Brandy sitting up against the sofa, we get this completely nonsensical dissolve (that has the effect of a jump cut) of Lorena vigorously fingering Brandy that lasts for all but 10 seconds, completely ruining the established pacing... WHY? This seems to be a constant problem with Don C's and Lorena's films, and it's a real shame given how good, if not great, most everything else in them is.
Then again, these aesthetic lapses don't seem to bother anyone else but me, though I truly wonder how an audience supposedly sensitive to the "art" side of erotica wouldn't notice or be bothered by these things as well. To recap:
Girls = 9/10
Sex = 10/10
Chemistry = 9/10
Cinematography = 5/10
Editing = 4/10
Average = 7.4
I'll round down to 7, but it's an "it's a damned shame" 7.
horsemaster 4 years ago
I had taken note of the silly candles in the window and how little they added to the ambiance, but decided it made little difference. I think your technical analysis is right on (and like Harryben, I enjoy reading your critiques), but I think you might have been a little unfair comparing a film by Alis or Don or most anyone else here (maybe an exception for Paul Black in editing) to a Terrance Malick or Vittorio Storaro film. Those guys create masterpieces and take years (sometime, as in Malick's case, MANY years between films. And when a film like "Tree of Life" comes out, it's worth the wait!), and have millions of dollars in budget. Here, the film makers are on short leashes and limited budgets to produce product week in and week out. You have to go back to someone like Mack Sennett for 3-a-week one-reelers that met then-current professional standards. Yes, there are little editing imperfections in many films here, but, consider the norm in this industry and I think things here are rather extraordinary. Not all films are going to be Paul Black quality if we are going to get the frequency of films that are output here. And on occasion we DO get what I would consider a high degree of cinematography. See: "The Sea Mouse", or "Waiting for Rain", or even some of "The Game" (which, in trying to give a big back- and front-story "jumped the shark" by going too much that way, in my opinion). Budget and time (and, yes, I agree, experience) are the big constraints in making the type of "art film" that we all would want to see done here with our sex films. Generally, I'm pretty happy being here, and, once-in-a-while, I'm blown away.
Don and Lorena (and all the other film makers here): listen to, but don't take the critics here (including me) so seriously that they interferes with your passion and vision.

I agree with most of your points, which I why I proposed that perhaps this was the end of a very long night in a scruffy club - or maybe it wasn't, in which most of your points are valid. The shooting was very four square, not many diagonals if at all, and if there was an implied narrative about time, place, relationship, it was confused in the distracting setting. So a lot of what was very good in the scene was diluted and the impact lost.
However, I also agree with desertrat. Often when these issues arise, I try to make it all work anyway, and ambiguity is at the heart of film. But it would be good to hear from the team.
swplf2 4 years agoContributing Writer
I can't agree with the cinematography. It is a little harsh. It may not be a 10 but not a 5. The editing is questionable. But we don't see the raw footage. There may be a reason for the dissolove, etc. My question would be to Don, Does this satisfy you? I have reviewed several of Alis's films where people have bitched but in most cases Alis "got" exactly what he wanted. Are you judging in general or only against Sex Art videos. IMO the quality here is so high SA is already above most other sites which try to be erotic that a "bad" job here is better than the best on their sites. I would give an 8 and 7 respectively but overall no worse than a 8. But of course that is just my opinion. We know yours...
solrage 4 years ago
swplf2, it may help to know that I'm rating on cinematic standards, not erotica/porn standards. My 10/10 for cinematography would be, say, the films of Terrence Malick (Days of Heaven, The Thin Red Line), the work of Vittorio Storaro (Apocalypse Now, The Conformist) and Gregg Toland (Citizen Kane, Grapes of Wrath). No film on SA would get a 10 from me for the cinematography, but I think that the work of Alis is consistently a 7-8, and I definitely feel this film is a few steps down from Alis's work. It's true we don't see the raw footage, but, to me, such jarring cuts made because "that's what we had to work with" is the result of not "cutting the film in your mind" beforehand, of not previsualizing before you shoot. While improvisational filmmaking can work when you're actively trying to "break the rules" (like Godard), this film was too, let's say, "composed" to benefit from such techniques.
desertrat 4 years ago
I like your comments and analysis. You know how to take things apart and analyze things. You have the mind an engineer. I’m one also. But I like the unexplained. It adds to the sense of mystery and stirs the imagination. I don’t want a precise smooth flow that is entirely predictable. Life’s not like that and it would be boring if it was. 10/10.
solrage 4 years ago
Thanks, desertrat. I would agree that I appreciate mystery, ambiguity, unpredictability, and a certain roughness when those things are intentional, when they have an aesthetic function. Anarchic filmmakers like Godard and Bunuel benefit from not "following the rules" of classic cinema, but they're cases of breaking the rules with intelligence, not breaking the rules because they were incapable of doing better/following them. I get the sense that the technical faults in these Don C./Lorena films are more cases of unintentionally flawed craftsmanship due to a certain amateurishness. I believe Lorena admitted that she just started learning editing when she started working here, and Don C. equally seems somewhat new to the world of erotic filmmaking (at least, I can't find any much earlier work of his online), so a certain level of amateurishness is to be expected; but I don't think we're doing them favors by rationalizing it or ignoring it.

Ice is nice! And so are tongue piercings (for which I have a new appreciation). Beautifully photographed. This may be one of the best seduction scenes I've seen in a long time. Of course it helps to have a very willing seductee in Brandy. Lorena just seems to love sex and I love how she moves her pelvis to get it in JUST the right position. Lots of smiles by both ladies There is genuine joy in their pleasure together. Don's team does a simply terrific job, including both editors.

It is great to have Lorena back - don't let her go for so long next time. And Brandy - she is such an underrated performer, but has done wonderful work on idreamofjo in particular, although she has tended to be overlooked.
About this film - we are left guessing as to their relationship because of the lack of an intro. Looking at the candles placed next to the windows (and therefore not effective) I concluded that this was the end of a very long night, and given the decor, which looked like a club or bar with the black paint, purple velvet sofa, wooden benches etc, maybe they are a waitress and dancer ? If not, why the fishnet ?
The scene rightly starts slowly, but did not really build to the intensity that the notes suggest. The main driver for me was Brandy, who moved the pace on a couple of times in terms of the love making, but it tended to settle after that. It's still a great scene, and it is good to see Lorena taking things slowly for once. There is much to enjoy and linger on here.
Guessing again: DSLR ? If so, it works because someone has put colour into the scene, which DSLR requires.

Sex Art original "inspiration" and "mentor" was the famous director Zalman King who broke new ground with eroticism in general release films, i.e. Wild Orchid, 9 1/2 Weeks, and on T.V. Red Shoes Diary. He died last year, after the California problem Bo is now working on a new version of of one of Zalman's original ideas/series here, i.e. Girls Love Sex. So if SA ever does give awards, which I may be alone in thinking they should, IMO they should name the award a "Zalman." Just a fantasy of mine! Thanks for asking as it let me explain.
Jonathan 4 years ago
swplf2-- This is a good idea, and I would be fine giving our friend Zalman King (RIP) the honors. Sexart is a platform, where erotic filmmakers can show their creative works. It's not a single vision, like every other site out there. Having awards is not that far of a reach.
